running shoes without laces
Today, I went running and was in shock that this was my first step toward my first half marathon. All of this running, and all of the things I’ve done since then, I learned about self-awareness and what it looked like. This was a pivotal day in my life, because it gave me the tools I need to start making self-forgiveness a habit.
Self-awareness is something that we all need to develop in order to be able to control our behaviors and make a difference in the world. Self-forgiveness is a process that we all need to engage in in order to be able to turn our lives around and be a better person.
I know that this sounds odd, but this idea of self-awareness, of changing our behaviors, is what a lot of people talk about when they talk about the importance of developing self-forgiveness. But the flip side to this is that this idea of self-awareness has also given rise to its own unique set of behaviors. Most of these behaviors are really common, but others are just as dangerous, and as hard to get and implement.
The first behaviors that people talk about developing self-forgiveness is the ones that involve changing our clothes. Locking our clothes in storage is a very serious thing to do. When we were younger, we wore our clothes to school. We wore them to the dentist, we wore them to church, and we wore them to our first date. It wasn’t just the clothes that we wore but the lives we lived wearing those clothes that were affected.
The problem is that we don’t realize that we are the reason we’re wearing the clothes in the first place. We think that we are just borrowing clothes from other people. It is also true that it is better to live a less complicated life, but by doing that we are also losing our ability to change. We’ve been conditioned to think that we can change our clothes only in very small and discrete ways.
Well, that is certainly true! If you want to look good in a pair of shoes, you should not only find the right brand but also the right size and the right laces. But if you want to be stylish, you should also learn to wear a little better. A great way to learn to wear better is to run without laces. This is not only easy but also much easier to do than it seems.
I was first introduced to running shoes and laces by reading a book called “Gone with the Wind”: The Story of an Unwed Mother and Her Grown Daughter. That book, in addition to the fact that its main character is a pre-adolescent girl, also has one of the best descriptions of how to run that I’ve ever seen.
It goes something like this: Your feet are planted squarely on the ground, your knees are bent at a 90-degree angle, and your ankles are flexed at an angle of about 50-60 degrees. The only thing holding you up is your calf muscles, and their job is to flex your calves to give you a nice comfortable stride. But they can’t do that without the aid of your laces. They are attached to your shoes with the help of a laces-slip.
These laces are a little different. Unlike our shoe laces, they’re attached to your shoes by the very same process by which our shoe laces are attached. The difference is that our shoe laces are attached to the lace by a thread which allows them to be adjusted. The shoes have two laces attached to the lace and they are adjusted by sliding them over your shoes. The laces themselves are attached to the shoes with the help of a laces-slip.
